Growing up in New England was the best! I have lived in Kansas City for 11 years and it has been ages since I went home. I lived just blocks from the ocean in a town called Beverly just 8 miles south of Gloucester which has a major fishing industry. I spent many weekends driving up the coast to Gloucester and points north. It's literally like a postcard and I wanted to put that postcard into a song. I hope this song gives a visual of what its like in New England at winter.
This is a live run with MANY mistakes. Please forgive the dingers on the guitar, when I get inspired for the words I need to record them in a hurry so as not to forget the the melody and embellishments. So maybe one of these days this song will really be produced,,,until then...its just another ugly baby ;-) Click "read More" for the lyrics

It’s been exciting for me to begin this venture in offering new music in its infant form to all who visit. I myself in my old age have always appreciated the more stripped down versions of songs like Clapton’s Layla done acoustically. I think that when a song is written and delivered right then the message can pierce the heart regardless of the production values. I invite and encourage you to register here on the Café. I will be making more new music and will be updating you all with an email or two a month. Your info will never ever be shared or sold and you can opt out anytime. So go ahead and take 2 minutes to register so we can communicate. REGISTER HERE!
Feel free to make comments and send requests. I love the feedback and have been blessed by your input.
God Bless! SONRAY

Well folks, I am at the dawn of a new era. Heh ok, that sounds way too dramatic. But today IS a good day because last night I made my maiden voyage into the world of live internet radio and man was it KOOL! So here is the skinny, a short notice shout to the poets out there. Tonight October 13th 2007 at 10 P.M. Central Time I will be broadcasting live on Shoutcast! Yee haa! What is Shout Cast you ask? Well nothing less than a platform for free expression empowering the people and allowing the global spread of user generated media to overtake the world with its far reaching expanse through the global internet backbone. Oh…and it’s a little dealy where u can hear an aging goofball like me whine a bit with the guitar in my lap ;-) So How to get the SONray Shoutcast hookup and a bag of chips? Simple download Win Amp for free here. Now once installed you want to open Media Library and there is a bunch of external links to choose from for Internet Streaming.
Click on Shoutcast Radio (under “Online Services”) and on the Shout Cast Page in the search box type Monkey Crater This is the name of the feed provided by my new found friends at www.monkeycrater.com I REALLY appreciate the technical expertise provided by Denson and OddThomas, a thousand thank yous to the MC team for making themselves available and basically letting me weaze their gig on the internet Radio tip! That means I am grateful that they allowed me to take advantage of the platform they provide for free. You Guys ROCK! So anyway… in the results you find for Monkey Crater you will see “SONray Radio Live from the Canyon” (this will only show up during the broadcast and very soon we will make a 24/7 feed of recorded music but for now you will only find it 30 minutes before the start of the show and for the duration. So there u have it gorgeous people! Yours Truly Casting the Pod, Blasting the Mod, Shouting The Cast with a song tight and fast…..ok im losing it!
ENJOY!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls I am excited to announce the Street Team! In my foray back to the land of pixels I have had an incredible time meeting new people and of course playing live music. When people would ask me how they can be notified of an upcoming performance, I would always say…”add me to your buddy list” I don’t know why…;-) I realized that I have no way to communicate en masse without starting a formal club or team. This is a little sad because loads of people have asked for invites and added me as a buddy. SO….in comes the “SONray Street Team” to provide a solution. I hope you will make the time to JOIN so we can be in communication. If you have trouble accessing this link, you can always click on my profile in game and navigate to the street team. On a similar note, I want to thank Juliaaidens and the Pirates Keep crew for all the support and plugs. If you are not a member of the Pirates Keep you REALLY need to join. It is an amazing neighborhood and group of people and I am glad to call it my virtual home. I am blessed by how relationships I have made in just a short time have blossomed and I am glad to call many Pirates Keep alumni friends. If you’re not a member, you’re missing out. Go ahead and JOIN!

After many requests from fellow There-ians for access to music, I created this site. I have seriously been enjoying my time in There hanging out with cool people and doing live music. I knew that going back to “There” (after a 2 year hiatus) would be just what I needed to get instant feedback and find the motivation to begin the songwriting process. Many of you have been inspirational for me and SONray thanks you. I will be posting new music fairly regularly so definitely check it out. Go ahead and register here on the site for access to goodies on the backend (coming soon)
